ECO ICE RINK TERMS & CONDITIONS

 

All skaters are reminded that they skate at their own risk

 

The following policies have been created for your safety and form our official Safe Skating Guidelines. Please ensure that you have read them before taking to the ice and listen to all instructions from our ice marshals or other event personnel.

We hold the right to refuse entry onto the ice to anyone not complying with these policies.

Please watch our safety skating video on our website.

The management will not be responsible for any loss or injury incurred. Skaters and Spectators understand and agree to the following:

 

By engaging in skating, both skaters and spectators are deemed to have knowledge of, and assume the risk of skating which includes but is not limited to:

1.     Injuries that result from collision or contact with other skaters or other individuals who are on the skating surface

2.     Injuries that result from falls

3.     Injuries that involve objects or artificial structures that are within the properly intended path of travel of the skater

 

While all reasonable measures are in place to ensure your safety, it is your responsibility to ensure that you are aware of the safety information prior to entering the rink. It is your responsibility to bring to the attention of the Ice Marshal any event or act which may impact on your safety while skating

If you are new to skating or have young children it is best to take them during a time when the rink is less crowded. Please contact us and we can recommend a suitable time to take your children.

 

 

TICKETS ARE NONREFUNDABLE:

 

For queries about a purchase you have made, please email bookings@wicklowchristmasmarket.com quoting the Ticket reference number printed on your emailed paid Ticket.

 

 

This year you will be able to rearrange your booking yourself. Note: tickets can be changed up to 7 days prior to your event start date, an administration fee of €5 PER TICKET will apply in such circumstances.

If you wish to avail of the ticket change facility you must sign up for an account when you purchase tickets for your event.

 

Ticket change procedure

o    Log into your customer account

o    When logged in, you will be able to see your order history

o    Amend your reservation by clicking on “change date/time”

o    After selecting your new date and time simply check-out, pay the €5.00 fee and your reservation will be amended

 

Note: You can only reschedule if there is availability, no additional spaces can be created to facilitate your request.

 

Like most event ticket providers, tickets are non-refundable – we URGE you to check your dates, and the number of people travelling BEFORE you process as we cannot change details.

 

 

Skaters and Spectators also agree to:

 

·     Maintain reasonable control of his/her speed at all times

·     Maintain a proper lookout to avoid other skaters, objects or conditions on the surface of the rink

·     Accept responsibility for knowing the range of his/her abilities while on skates, and skate within the limits of that ability and as appropriate to the session on which he/she is skating

·     Refrain from skating whilst under the influence of drugs, alcohol or other control impairing substances

·     Leave the surface of the ice when resurfacing maintenance is taking place, when sessions end or as directed by staff

·     Refrain from taking food and drink onto the rink surface

·     Refrain from acting in a manner that may cause or contribute to injury of themselves or any other person

·     Refrain from instigating or becoming involved in any type of altercations with any other skater or spectator and engaging in abusive, abrasive, disorderly conduct or other anti-social behaviour

Do not sit, climb or put feet on the barrier

·         Do not carry children, on the ice.

·         If an injury is sustained, notify a member of staff immediately.

·         No speed skating or weaving through other skaters is permitted.

·         No mobile phones or other equipment to be used on the ice.

 

Furthermore

 

·     Anti-social behaviour of any kind will not be tolerated and those responsible will be asked to leave the rink with no refund given.

·     Skaters asked to leave or removed from the Ice Rink area will not be refunded for their session fee if breaking this Code of Conduct.

·     Any persons, who in the opinion of the Ice Marshals, represent a danger to themselves or others will be asked to leave the rink.

·     Any persons whose behaviour may be deemed as likely to cause offence to others will be asked to leave the rink.

·     When your session has ended you will be directed to the exit point by the Ice Marshal and Public Address system. Please exit the rink in an orderly manner.

·     Your child may not fully understand all of the rules so we also ask parents to keep an extra close eye on your child at all times.

·     Always pay attention to the skaters around you and pay special attention to skaters ahead of you as they cannot see you coming.

·     You are required to skate in an anti-clockwise direction, however on some occasions the staff may instruct all skaters to skate in a clockwise direction. Please ensure that you are skating in the correct direction at all times.

By using or visiting this website (hereinafter “Site”), you expressly agree to be bound by these Terms and to follow these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations governing this web site. Santa Express Purchase Policy:

 

When you pay for your ticket booking online by credit or debit card, you will automatically receive an email by return to the email address you entered. It is therefore important that you enter your email address correctly. NOTE The email may take up to 15 minutes to arrive in your inbox so please be patient! Also emails can go into your spam, clutter, promotional or junk folders, please check all.

 

Your confirmation email is your ticket/proof of purchase, please bring it with you on the day.

Admittance will not be permitted without the confirmation of booking.

When you arrive at Wicklow Christmas Market, present your printed

Ticket/E-ticket at the Check-in up to 15 minutes before your experience is due to start. Please remember, all purchases are subject to /debit/credit card authorisation and billing address verification, which may take place after initial confirmation has been given. Tickets purchased on the Wicklow Christmas Market website may be subject to a non-refundable debit/credit card charge.

  

If your chosen event time is cancelled or rescheduled by Wicklow Christmas Market, we will endeavour to contact you either by phone, e-mail with the contact details you provided at the time of booking. If the event cannot go ahead due to Government restrictions, you will receive a refund minus the booking fee.

Therefore it is very important that you give contact numbers when you are booking your tickets.

 

Occasionally, additional tickets may be available prior to or during the event, however, the availability and timing of these additional tickets may be outside the control of Wicklow Christmas Market.

Every effort to admit latecomers will be made, but admission will not be possible under any circumstances after your ticket start time. The Train must leave on time.

 

The organisers of the event will do everything in their power to ensure the smooth running of the event. In the unlikely event of a major technical issue out of our control, or beyond our ability to remedy on the day, we will facilitate, in the best possible manner to deliver the event as close as possible. If some part of the experience is affected, the organisers will accommodate a replacement where possible, but reserve the right to remove promoted elements if & when deemed necessary.

 

Our priority is to ensure the Santa Express is an enjoyable experience for you and your guests, however we cannot be held liable for distress caused by circumstances that are beyond our control. These circumstances include but are not limited to: adverse weather conditions, emotional distress or disappointment caused by the role-playing characters including: Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, elves, train driver and Santa’s helpers etc.

 

Tickets are sold subject to the Wicklow Christmas Market’s Management right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange Tickets.

Wicklow Christmas Market operates a no smoking, drinking alcohol and prohibits the taking non-prescription drugs policy.

The unauthorised use of photographic equipment to record children other than those under your own guardianship is strictly prohibited. Video cameras or any type of recording equipment is prohibited in the event.

Wicklow Christmas Market – Santa Express does not accept responsibility for the personal property of its visitors.

Wicklow Christmas Market advises that all participants are appropriately dressed as this is an outdoor event.
